Makeup product of the week: NYX Dark Circle Concealer

NYX is a well known drug store makeup brand. It is famous for delivering high pigmentation at very affordable prices.

NYX Dark Circle Concealer is promoted to do just that. It conceals or rather corrects those stubborn under eye circles which we personally have battled with since birth. Yes we got the dark circle gene and its no fun.
It is hard to find a product to replace a good one you know works. Especially concealers because its really hard to find something that will not turn ashy or wear off quickly. Since the results of the current concealer routine is not satisfying, we're on the hunt for a new product that will deliver.

NYX is stocked in all lifestyle branches across the country, we got ours from Hili Mall some time ago. The ladies who worked there were very friendly and patient with me.

Color: DCC03 (matches Mac NC35)
Texture: Creamy
Application: placed the product with a brush and blended it with a sponge.

So dear readers here is the verdict:

Pros:
  1. It does exactly what it says
  2. You don't feel like you have anything sitting underneath your eyes (MAJOR plus)
  3. Nuetrlizes the discoloration and makes your undereye matching to your skin

Cons:
  1. It needs setting immedietly because it creases.

This product doesn't claim to brighten your under eye so if you want that then go ahead and use your brightening product (powder or liquid).
A tip to play around with textures. Meaning if you want to brighten its best to use either a liquid or a powder form brightener in case you apply makeup with a heavy hand. This is because if you use a creamy one, as you blend it you will be moving the concealer around and most likely ruin your perfect master piece. However if you use a powder you will help the concealer set, and if you use a liquid it is much easier to blend than a creamy texture.
